Hello World!!
Well, as the title of this says “here we go again”, I am attempting to quit smoking, again!
I quit smoking cigars back in September of 2015. I did very well with it and never had an issue until my now ex-husband started his own agenda and new lifestyle. I couldn’t take the pressure so I picked them back up.
Here it is August 24, 2018 and I have been smoke free for 1 month and 2 days! It just worked out for me and I am so glad. The last time I quit smoking, my daughter was pregnant with my first grandson, Azariah. Now she is pregnant again with my second grandson, Kingston. I am glad to be smoke free since I really have wanted to quit ever since I picked them back up!
On this attempt to quit, I happened to run out of cigars in the night. My ashtray in the car was completely full of butts so I decided not to go buy any. I knew if I got desperate I could always smoke a butt out of the ashtray. In the meantime, every time I got in the car I would give a sigh of relief that “now I can smoke”… Ha, ha! then I would see the ashtray full of butts and remember that I’m not smoking right now.
The good thing is that I am thanking God daily for taking the cravings away and allowing me to have peace of mind and emotions during this time. Also, my ashtray is still full and I haven’t had to smoke any butts nor take a drag at all!
Time sure does fly because it’s been over a month now. I “forget” that I’m supposed to be struggling and trying to quit; I’m just done with the cigars and so glad to be able to make healthier choices.
I think maybe I’ll clean out my ashtray now 🙂
